After having received the advice of the University Council, the Board of Governors has today appointed Prof. Marie-Hélène Jobin as Vice-Rector of the University of Luxembourg. She has also been appointed Full Professor in logistics and operations management.
Prof. Jobin will be responsible for partnerships and international relations. Her portfolio includes strategy development in key areas such as international relations, knowledge and technology transfer, and public and private partnerships. Prof. Jobin will also develop the University’s societal engagement and oversee the incubator and entrepreneurship programme.
Prof. Jobin is a Canadian national and since 2019 has been Vice-Rector for International Relations and Partnerships at HEC Montréal, a French-speaking academic institution with internationally renowned teaching programmes and research in management. Her area of expertise is operations management and logistics and her research includes activities in the optimisation of public health sector operations.
“Prof. Jobin’s extensive international network, her in-depth expertise in both student exchanges and the establishment of strategic partnerships with private and public stakeholders, as well as her communication skills, make her the ideal person to develop this new portfolio at the Rectorate. I am delighted that this recruitment completes the establishment of my team.” said Rector Jens Kreisel. Prof. Jobin will take office on 15 June 2023, for a five-year term.
