Gender equality

Women Leaders

Women Leaders is a new lecture series promoted by the Gender Equality Office, which stems from the ADVANCE Mentoring program to enhance networking opportunities. This series will bring inspirational women to engage in conversations with the young researchers in Luxembourg, aiming to break stereotypes and show that women are remarkable and effective leaders. The invited speakers are also actively participating in supporting Gender Equality in their home institutions and can thus advise on the best practices for greater inclusion for women, and minority groups.

We expect Women Leaders to

Inspire and motivate women to pursue leadership roles. The series will create a platform to disseminate the experiences, insights, and expertise of remarkable women leaders.

Nurture and foster a sense of community that encourages women in science to take on leadership roles. Through mentoring circles this initiative will create the space for development conversations, hence supporting aspiring women in their careers.

Strengthening the discussion on best practices to promote gender equality in academic careers. The guest speakers will bolster a discussion at the University on how to promote gender equality in science careers, which will enhance the different actions to promote equality and inclusion.
