Courses provided by the INLL
The University works with the Institut National des Langues Luxembourg (INLL) for general language courses.
The University community has access to all sites where the INLL provides classes.
All courses are fee-based.
INLL sites:

Language levels are based on the CEFRL (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).
Bachelor and Master students: no ECTS are allocated for INLL courses.
INLL courses for students and doctoral candidates
The INLL pricing schedule applies for all language courses and full payment should be made directly to the INLL.
Winter semester: September to February 2024
Partial reimbursement only for INLL French, German, English and Luxembourgish courses.
At the end of the semester, the University offers a partial reimbursement subject to the following conditions:
- Registration in a French, German, English or Luxembourgish course taken at the INLL,
- Minimum attendance of 75% of the course over the semester,
- Participation in the final exam at the end of the semester.
You will only receive one reimbursement per language
How much is reimbursed?
- €140 for courses that cost €200 or more
- €75 for courses that cost €110
Reimbursement procedure (at the end of the semester)
Reimbursement requests for the 2024-2025 winter semester should be sent between 1 and 28 February 2025:

Fill in the online reimbursement request between 1 and 28 February 2025.

Send an email by the end of February 2025 to languagecentre@uni.lu with the following document(s) to be downloaded from your INLL portal:
- Attendance certificate
- Bilan de compétences (only available if the course had a final exam)

Check that you have filled in your bank coordinates on your Student Portal (“Guichet Étudiant”) Please pay attention to IBAN or NON IBAN format.
Please make sure you indicate “Reimbursement request – NAME & SURNAME” in your email subject.
The reimbursement will be made by bank transfer by the end of April 2025

The INLL pricing schedule applies. Staff should register and pay directly with the INLL – details of the procedure are available online.
Summer semester: February to July 2024
Online registration: from 7 February 2024
